Megedeborch – In the Shadow of the
Reformation 1525-1570

The publicly funded museum education project “Megedeborch” is an interactive historical game in the ‘medieval’ city, which is set up in the courtyard of the museum. This additional seasonal project of the Museum of Cultural History in Magdeburg has existed since 1995 and is carried out in cooperation with the job centre of the state capital and AQB GmbH Magdeburg. The historical game is based on the medieval history of the city of Magdeburg. Each year, a separate epoch is illuminated. with thematic focuses On market days, the Megedeborch is open to all museum guests

The registration day for the 2025 season is the Monday after the winter holidays (3 February 2025). On that day, register by phone starting at 7:30 a.m. at the following numbers: 0391 / 540 35 01 and 0391 / 540 35 02.

On market days, the trades and offers of the Megedeborch can be viewed by all visitors to the museum.

The Megedeborch market days take place on the following dates:

18/05/2025, Sunday: 1st market day / International Museum Day from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (free admission)
